John KI5OYW brought in this 16 in circumference 2M direction finding loop on the 2nd Thurs club mtg and showed us the result on his VNA. John likes loops, having previously made a 5 ft HF model using 2 in wide copper tape and some high voltage variable caps. This one uses 1/4 inch copper tube with a piece of coax dielectric inserted at the top gap (as a tuning capacitor ).
