Radio Society of Greater Bixby

RSGB mtg for this Thurs (7 to 8:15 PM at Scott’s hamburgers in downtown Bixby) will feature Your Show and Tell and a review of power supplies including Half Wave and Full Wave rectifiers (the full wave requires two (2) diodes so in the old days when that meant Two Tubes, they often opted for just one). Then we’ll trace current flow in a Full Wave Bridge (involving 4 diodes) as is most common nowadays, and for fun, get into Voltage Doublers, one of which is key to the old Kenw 700 all mode 2M rig. Also, a story about 2M interference and retribution using the Kenw.

P. S. There’s no 12V in the Kenw 700. Only 9 and 20.
